OMS: 40 years in business, solidity through experience, knowledge of our industry and awareness for future challenges.
OMS is a corporation established in 1982 that acts as an all-round global manufacturing partner to the most important multinational companies in the sector in which they operate.
Reliability, passion, innovation, quality and transparency are the keys to our success and the values that guide us daily in our work and in the way we bring technical solutions to the industry.
A story whose weave combines the artisan passion for precision machining, the commitment, professionalism and expertise of our highly specialised staff, and the ability to be versatile and respond promptly to the needs and challenges of yesterday, today, and tomorrow market.
Over the years, the company has acquired an excellent production capacity, ranging from prototypes to medium-large series production, with two distinct Business Units: Aerospace/Aeronautics and Electromechanics.
The high flexibility of the organisational and production structure allows us to achieve high standards in terms of reliability and quality of the final product, as well as punctuality in meeting delivery deadlines. The company pays special attention to the most advanced process technologies and to strengthening production know-how through the continuous improvement of work processes.
A high level of experience acquired over the years in the machining of special materials, such as titanium, tungsten, molybdenum, inconel, martensitic stainless steel, as well as composite materials (carbon fibers, glass fibers, etc.), enables the company to respond promptly to all customer requirements and to realise complex mechanical manufactures.
The history of OMS began in Segni in 1982, thanks to the skill, initiative and courage of men who had put previous and personal work experience in the world of precision mechanics to good use.
From the outset, the aim was to manufacture complex mechanical products on commission in the high-tech engineering industry.
During the early years, the company operated exclusively in the military field, producing war munitions for the armed forces.
These were the 1980s and early 1990s, when the human component was predominant in the machining process; many machines were equipped for a single phase of battery work over 3 shifts.
The advent of the first CNCs radically changed the production concept, and electronics combined with mechanics became popular. OMS, in this sense, was a forerunner and promoter of a major change taking place. In the following years, the company expanded its production range with mechanical parts for the aerospace and electromechanical sectors.
In 2000, OMS obtained UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 certification, the first of five current certifications.
The know-how acquired over 40 years of activity has enabled the company to carve out a leading role in the programmes of the main aerospace and industrial players: Avio, Ariane Group, MA Group, ABB. Added to this is the ability to design and manufacture tooling, gauges and moulds, and the flexibility to respond to requests from the general mechanics sector.
OMS has all the professional and technological skills in-house to operate in complete autonomy, minimising the delays and downtime that an over-extended chain of suppliers and consultants generally entails.
In the renovated Segni plant (OMS1 2,000sq.m. of which 1,500sq.m. for production and 500sq.m. for offices) are located all the company’s key activities, from technical offices to production, from special processes to quality control.
In the recent plant in Colleferro (OMS2, 1,000 square metres of floor space, of which 300 square metres for offices) there is a Research, Development and Technological Innovation department that allows for the development of new solutions for high added-value products and for experimenting and perfecting processing and production technologies to improve quality and working times.
Finally, the new plant in Colleferro (OMS3, 2,500 square metres of which 2,000 square metres of production and 500 square metres of office space) houses the entire automated assembly department, conceived to create a finished product that goes beyond the mechanical part; assembly, assembly, and incoming checks of the entire OMS supply chain make it a true added value for customers: OMS as the vertical owner of the final product.
The willingness to incorporate customer requirements and further develop its core business makes OMS a dynamic company and an active partner in solving problems and sharing production strategies. By means of specific feasibility studies, the company is able to propose and make changes to meet specific requirements during the course of the project or to make projects more profitable.
Over the years we have become a manufacturer of Lugs, Clamps and Mechanical connectors for low to medium voltage switches for civil and industrial use.
From sharing with customers on the design side, to mechanical devices aimed at economic savings, to large-scale mass production for the most varied types and sizes (in Aluminium, Copper and Brass)
Certificati Ul per la vendita negli Stati Uniti come manufacturer
Suppliers of flight parts for European launchers such as Vega, Vega C and Vega E; Ariane 5 and future Ariane 6.
Specialised in the manufacture of stator and rotor parts for turbopumps, such as Manifold, Volute, Impeller, Inducer, Shaft, Blisk, Housing and Casing
OMS has been a leader since 1982 in precision machining and industrial supplies to major international players, offering its experience and expertise worldwide with its 100 in-house staff of highly qualified engineers, technicians and operators, as well as numerous consultants and external collaborators.
Investments in R&D and new equipment have been substantial in recent years, starting in 2019 with over 3 million euros (equal to 30% of turnover).
Active in the national and international market (exports to the US, China, India, all of Europe), it consists of two divisions linked to two different product sectors Aerospace/Aeronautical Sector – Electromechanical Sector.
Its main customers include: ABB, AVIO, MA Group, Ariane Group.
Honesty, transparency, innovation, social responsibility and environmental sustainability are the values, the offspring of a strong and recognised cultural identity, with which OMS identifies and which have become one of the Company’s key assets.
OMS believes that the promotion of human, social, political, cultural, religious and economic rights must be an integral part of the management of its production and economic processes, and it is with this in mind that it intends to undertake the commitment to build production balances based on requirements and commitments centred on the principles of social responsibility.
This social responsibility policy, established by the company management, is a tool that OMS uses to implement its mission which, through a constant commitment to the definition and implementation of company objectives, is aimed at achieving the full satisfaction of all parties involved.
Because of these values in which the Company recognises itself and which it shares, OMS has adopted a corporate code of ethics, a document containing a series of social and moral rules and behaviours drawn up by the Company and with which all members of the Company must comply, to be managed by individual employees or third parties acting in the name and on behalf of the Company.
It is the charter of the company’s fundamental rights and duties in which the company’s ethical and social responsibilities, both externally and internally, and the values it embraces are defined: it is voluntary and non-binding under the law.
Its ultimate purpose is to emphasise and underline the spirit that animates the WHO.
An ISO 14001-certified company, OMS considers issues concerning the Environment to be one of the priority aims of its activities.
The Company has pursued, and continues to pursue, the main objective of environmental protection, oriented in a way that goes beyond compliance with the regulations in force, with the aim of guaranteeing the protection of the environment within the Company and the environment surrounding the Plants in which it operates. The Company asks its suppliers to respect all regulatory obligations of environmental compliance and to actively engage in the protection of the environment, which is to be understood as a primary asset.
OMS is committed to ensuring the health, safety, and security of people who come into contact with our products. We work to ensure that our products do not contain ‘conflict minerals’ where their extraction may directly or indirectly fund human rights violations or benefit armed groups.
As a result, our suppliers are asked to engage in appropriate actions and controls to identify the presence of minerals (tin, tantalum, gold, and tungsten) from conflict zones in supplied products, components, parts, or materials.
Wherever possible, the company incorporates the principles of responsible sourcing of conflict minerals into contractual terms with suppliers and will work with them to create awareness of these issues in its supply base. Our position statement will be available to our suppliers and we expect them to adopt similar positions or policies for their supply chains.
Quality is one of the key elements for OMS. We constantly invest in quality and certifications to provide products aligned to each customer’s requirements.
